CRYOGENIC TUNNEL FREEZERS
Cryogenic tunnel freezers are suited for quick cooling large quantities of products using liquid CO2 gas. They are suitable for processing different kinds and sizes of products and result in less product dehydration.
For tunnel freezers to operate as efficiently as possible, a cryogenic tunnel consists of four primary parts:
- An insulated enclosure that houses a conveyor belt to carry the products
- An injection system to inject the liquid CO2 gas
- Circulation fans to improve heat transfer with the products
- An exhaust system to evacuate excess gases
It houses a stainless steel conveyor belt. An injection system to inject the liquid CO2 gas along with circulation fans provides efficient heat transfer which freezes the products quickly and evenly. An exhaust system evacuates excess gases to provide a safe working environment around the tunnel.
Tunnel freezers may be produced in customs dimensions and layout. Also, additional features can be added to comply with specific cooling requirements. Products that can be frozen include meat, dough, vegetables, fruits, etc. Good insulation provides economic CO2 gas consumption.
